Avikal E. Costantino

Born in Palermo, Italy, 17.02.1950

Bachelor in Social and Economic Sciences, University of Trieste, Italy

1968/1976 Social and political involvement. Founder of Controradio FM 108 in Florence, Italy. Collaboration with the magazine “Ombre Rosse”.

1977/1978 Travels to India , Thailand , Malaysia and Indonesia.

1979/1981 - Works as a field-anthropologist in Mexico sponsored by the Department of Anthropology of the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico. Researches with the tribes Tzeltales ( Mayas of the state of Chiapas ) and Tarahumaras (state of Chihuahua ).

1981 Lecturer at the Faculty of Anthropology in the University of Puebla (UAP), Mexico

1981  Begins working as free-lance photographer.

1982 Travels for Photo Magazines to India, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia.

1982 Training in Traditional Thai Massage in Bangkok, Thailand

1982/1996 he lives in Italy, USA and India

1982/1986 Training with Sword Master and healer, Hideo Kobayashi in Italy. Training in Yu-Ki, Seitai Katzugen Undo and Iaido. Starts offering individual sessions and Courses on Stress and Meditation.

1982/1987 Practice of Zen Meditation, Aikido and Aikiken with Pasquale Aiello Sensei (Aikikai Italia) and Iroshi Tada Sensei (Aikikai Hombu Dojo, Tokyo ).

In 1983 becomes a disciple of Bhagwan Sri Rajneesh later known as Osho.

1987 starts teaching Aikido and Sword.

1989/1995 is Director of the School for Centering and Zen Martial Arts in the Multiversity at the Osho Commune in Pune, India. He spends there 8/9 months every year offering his work to the resort.
In the Multiversity in Pune, and later all over Europe, he teaches seminars centred on the HARA (considered in the eastern tradition the spiritual centre in man) with meditations, awareness techniques, personality maps etc.

1988/1990 Avikal is one of Osho's personal photographer

Since 1992 he leads the Awareness Intensive Retreat and since 1994 Satori, processes where modern communication technique is applied while inquiring on Who am I? Who is in? What is Love? What is Life? and other existential questions, in the setting of a classic Zen meditation retreat called Sesshin. He leads the retreats in India, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Greece and Australia in a three-day format and in a seven-day format.

In 1992 he starts offering Consciousness Seminars and Mediation Retreats through different Institutes in Europe: UTA in Germany, Osho Campus, Miasto and Global Village in Italy, RISK in Denmark.

1995/2002 he leads Management Training and Life Coaching seminars on presence, leadership, awareness, conflict resolution, self-management, resilience and communication (Teta 1 and Teta Sword) with the IAK (institute for applied creatibity) with American and European Corporations such as: Bayer AG, Henkel Cosmetics, Allianz, ECC Group, Enterprise IG, Microsoft, Coca Cola Communication Austria etc.

In 1996 starts training with Faisal Muqaddam (founder with A.H.Almaas of The Diamond Approach to Self-Realization) and from 1997 to 2005 he is a senior teacher of the DiamondLogos leading workshops on Essence, the Superego and Ennegram.

Since 2003 he lives in Australia

2004 foundation of the Integral Being Institute operating in Australia and Europe

In 2008 Avikal starts mentoring Executives in the Sandrini Group and REM, in Italy.

In 2010 Avikal opens the European Head Quarters of the Integral Being Institute in the North of italy in a beautiful farm called Cascina Cavalta in the outskirts of the town of Asola in Mantua province.
